77 year old rural Wayne City resident, Mrs. Louella Anderson,
died at 7:30 a.m. Saturday December 13, 2003 at her home. Surviving are her
husband, Dale; a son Dale Anderson Jr. of Conway, Missouri; 2 daughters, Barbara
Bozarth of Keens and Maxine Louderback of Springfield, Il. A brother Noel
Whitson of Joplin, Missouri; 2 sisters, Mildred Finey and Rosa Lee Harvey both
of Wayne City; 11 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and several nieces and
nephews. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday Dec. 16th at
the Richardson Funeral Home in Wayne City. Burial in Bailey Cemetery.

70, of
Champaign, formerly, of Wayne City died 4:32 a.m. Jan 25, 2003 at Good Samaritan
Hospital in Mt. Vernon. He was retired from the U. S. Department of
Conservation. Mr. Austin was born November 18, 1932 in Wayne city to William
P. and Mary Josephine (WITHROW) Austin. He married Mary Evelyn Fenton
December 9, 1972; she is deceased. Funeral services will be held Monday at the
Richardson Funeral Home in Wayne City. The Rev. Richard McCormick will
officiate. Burial will be in the Thomason Cemetery. Mr. Austin is survived
by two sons, Marty Austin of Urbana, and Dick Austin of Johnstown, Colo.; two
grandchildren, Adam and Michelle Austin both of Urbana; one brother Eldon Austin
and wife Virginia of Wayne City; two sisters, Edna Butler of Belvidere, and Mary
Bruce and husband Robert of Fairfield. He was an Army veteran serving in Korean
War. Mr. Austin was preceded in death by his parents and wife.

GILBERT
AUSTIN
77 year old
Wayne city resident, Gilbert Austin died at 5:35 Wednesday evening at the Mount
Vernon Care Center. A U. S. Veteran of WWII, he was a retired truck driver.
Survivors include his wife Joyce of Wayne City; sons, David Garrison of Wayne
City, Mark Garrison of Richmond, Ky., Neal Austin of Fairfield and Kelly Austin
of Indianapolis, Ind.; a daughter Valerie Malone of Mt. Vernon; a brother Carl
Austin of Carbondale, twelve grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Services
will be Saturday May 24, at the Archie L. Sanders Memorial Chapel in Wayne City
with burial in the Thomason Cemetery.

Martha J. Anderson, 82, Fairfield, died Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2007 at 6:43 a.m. in
Way-Fair Restorium.
The body was cremated. A memorial service was held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Johnson
Funeral Home with burial in Elmwood Cemetery in Hammond, Ind. Survivors
include a brother, Lloyd Hill of Texas; and nieces and
nephews.

Eldon Ray Austin
Eldon Ray Austin, 83, of Wayne City, passed away at 5:18 a.m. March 31, 2009, at
Way Fair Restorium in Fairfield. He was born in Wayne County on Feb. 10, 1926, a
son of William and Josephine (Withrow) Austin. He married Virginia Schell on
March 19, 1945, and she survives in Wayne City. He was retired from Thomason
Furniture Company. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday at Richardson
Funeral Home in Wayne City with the Rev. Richard McCormick officiating. Burial
will follow at Thomason Cemetery in Wayne City. Friends may call from 9 a.m.
until the funeral hour Friday at the funeral home. In addition to his wife, Mr.
Austin is survived by a son, Eddie Austin and wife Jamie of Fairfield; two
grandchildren, Autumn and Casey Austin; and sisters, Edna Butler of Belvidere
and Mary Joe Bruce of Fairfield, Iowa.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Gary Austin. Mr. Austin was
a veteran of World War II, having served in the United States Navy. He was a
member of Wayne City Baptist Church.
